A current, verifiable credential
A licence, registration, or certification in the category you want to write for, in good standing, issued by a body we can look up directly.
Write for the imprint
Pawrent Press commissions credentialed local pet professionals to write specific sections of city editions. Contributors are writers and researchers here — not advisors to our readers, and not a service the imprint provides.

01 — Requirements
Four requirements, all of them checkable. Replace the bracketed details with the imprint's own standards.
01
A licence, registration, or certification in the category you want to write for, in good standing, issued by a body we can look up directly.
02
Evidence that you currently practise or operate in the city the edition covers — not simply that you know the subject.
03
You can attach a primary source to every checkable claim and accept that an unsourced claim will be cut, however true it may be.
04
Any commercial interest touching your section is declared in writing and printed with your byline for as long as the edition is in print.
02 — The process
We read every serious approach, but we only commission when a city file opens. Timelines depend on the publication calendar.
Tell us the city, the category, your credential, and the issuing body. One email is enough.
The verification desk confirms your credential at source and records the date and method.
If a file is open for your city, we send a section brief, a word count, a deadline, and a source-note template.
The checking desk comes back with queries; you answer them; the section goes to print with your byline and disclosure line.
Before every new edition we re-check your credential and ask you to confirm nothing in your section has changed.
03 — Before you write
Contributing is a writing commission. It is not a listing, an advertisement, or a route to being featured in a directory.
We do not pay for placement, we do not let contributors promote their own practice inside a section, and we do not pass reader enquiries on to contributors.
If you are looking to reach readers commercially, the sponsorship page is the correct place to start — and it is kept strictly separate from the editorial list.
This form does not send anything on its own. It opens your own email client with a message ready to review and send.
If that sounds like the way you already work, we would like to read your approach.
